Generations Academy is a Christ-centered private school located in Citrus County, Florida. We are committed to providing a safe, structured, and spiritually nurturing environment where students can grow academically, personally, and in their faith.
We are currently preparing to welcome our first students for the 2026–2027 school year. With a deep commitment to serving families who are active in their local churches, we seek to partner with parents to raise up a generation that values truth, responsibility, and godly character.

A Ministry of Generations Church
Generations Academy is a ministry of Generations Church, a Spirit-filled, Assemblies of God congregation in Crystal River, Florida. Generations Church is passionate about leading people into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and equipping them to impact their world through the power of the Gospel. The church family is multi-generational, unified by a shared passion to worship, grow, and serve together. By launching Generations Academy, the church extends its mission to disciple the next generation through biblically grounded education.
Pastor Joe Gunter is the Senior Pastor of Generations Church. His vision and leadership have been instrumental in establishing the academy as a ministry of Generations Church.
Pastor Joe is committed to helping families raise children who are grounded in biblical truth, equipped for lifelong learning, and prepared to serve Christ in their communities. Through chapel services, spiritual mentorship, and partnership with school leadership, he helps ensure that the mission and values of Generations Academy remain firmly rooted in Scripture.

Joe Gunter
Tonya Knight serves as the Monitor and Paraprofessional at Generations Academy. She brings extensive experience in administration, operations, bookkeeping, compliance management, and children's ministry.
Mrs. Knight has played a key role in the development and launch of Generations Academy, coordinating administrative processes, compliance documentation, and operational systems. She has also developed and implemented structured lessons and activities for children through her leadership in church ministry programs.
In addition to her educational support experience, Mrs. Knight has completed specialized training through the A.C.E. School of Tomorrow program and holds certifications as a Classroom Supervisor and School Administrator.

Tonya Knight
Christine Gunter serves as the Principal of Generations Academy and provides direct classroom instruction for students. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Southeastern University and has extensive experience in Christian education and public education.
Mrs. Gunter worked as an Elementary Teacher and Educational Media Specialist in Citrus County schools. She holds a Florida Temporary Educator Certificate and is actively completing the requirements necessary to upgrade to a Professional Educator Certificate. She also holds a Reading Endorsement and Educational Media Specialist Endorsement. She has also completed specialized training through the A.C.E. School of Tomorrow program and holds certifications as a Classroom Supervisor and School Administrator.
Through her leadership, Generations Academy seeks to provide a learning environment where students are challenged academically, nurtured spiritually, and prepared to fulfill God's purpose for their lives.

In accordance with Florida law, our instructional staff meet one or more of the qualification requirements established by section 1002.421(1)(h), Florida Statutes, including bachelor's degrees, teaching experience, professional training, certifications, and specialized expertise in K–12 education.
